Aeyes EF-2000
Aeyes heeft weer een cockpit klaar. Dit maal de EF-2000 Superpit add-on.
Helaas niet te gebruiken in Falcon 4 Allied Force.
Wel voor: SP4+BMS2, FF3, FF3.1, FF3.1+C1
Aeyes over deze release:
This add-on does not only stretch the limits a bit further with what is possible in a 2D environment cockpit, but also has some extra's included.
There are 4 sets of skins for different European Airforces that are currently or about to be using the Typhoon in active duty, the German Airforce, the Royal Air Force, The Italian AirForce and the Austrian Airforce. The main reason to add these high resolution textures is because you see them when looking outside the cockpit at 4 and 8 o'clock directions.
Also available is a specific set of EF-2000 splashes, to make your flights and EF-2000 experience complete during loading and leaving missions.
Ofcourse to make installing easier you can also download the splashinstaller utility, that has all Superpits splashes integrated and allows for easy switching between different splashes. Available at the Cockpits.nl website.
A features list of what is included:
- Views Day and night time - The normal and wideview cockpit is not available, in the EF-2000 Superpit was chosen for an 'in between' cockpit, not wide not close up but with maximum visibility and panel image quality. Big advantage is ability to switch in the cockpit during flight between the day and nightlit cockpit.
- Nightlighting - For flying at night, push keys Shift-2 for enabling the night time cockpit with backlit panels
- Tacan/map -Clicking down or keycombination Shift-1 shows the reference view for TACAN selection and a map.Clicking further down pans to the nightlit cockpit. Panning up from this view shows the normal daytime cockpit. Panning sideways shows other theaters' reference guides like Desert Storm and Balkans
- Displays - The MHDD displays (Multifunctional Head Down Displays) are made clickable in a 'touchscreen' mode, meaning you can operate the display by pressing the area that is showing.
- Kneeboard - The right knee has a browsable rampstart checklist, a fence in/out checklist, a refuelling checklist, an AA/AAA threat list and basic EF-2000 systems/Abreviations information. Browsing is done by left and right clicking.
- Moving map - There is a moving map showing in the MMD (Moving Map Display) along with 3rd display data.
- Rampstart - A full rampstart is possible, checklists are available in Word and in PDF format and on the right kneeboard in the simulation.
- Textures Included in the add-on are 4 different textures for the exterior plane. German Air Force JG-73 sqn, Italian Airforce 4 Stormo sqn, UK Royal Air Force and Austrian Airforce textures, matching the real Airforce sqns.
- Converted F-16 avionics to EF-2000 - There are a large number of items adjusted so that they better resemble EF-2000 avionics. One example is the combination of an ADI and HSI in one display, including a VVI and range/course digits indication. Another example is the items that are displayed on the MHDD's when doing a rampstart and when in combat. This info is retrieved from actual EF-2000 movies and rampstart pictures.
The pilot that flies the EF-2000 will notice that it is an aergonomically well designed plane, a comfortable cockpit since a lot of handling happens in one view direction in the front. Pilots that use tools like Gamevoice can increase realism with the use of Voicecommands, like in the real Typhoon. Ofcourse the cockpit is also fully clickable. A big bonus is that it carries a lot of weapons, it is very powerful and flies like a dream.

I read in another thread some questions concerning refuelling, so here is the detail from "CraterMass"
Air to air refuelling has been subjected to a major overhaul. This has resulted in a complete rewrite of the tanker and receiving aircraft AI.
The flight leader may request refuelling and this is on behalf of the entire flight. If another flight member requests fuel, the request is for the single aircraft.
The way the player aircraft behaves depends upon the player options. In easy mode, the player simply needs to line up approximately behind the tanker, and the new AI will take control and refuel the aircraft. In simplified mode, the AI has one hand on the aircraft along with the player. The AI and player controls are mixed together. As the aircraft moves nearer the tanker, the player has less influence over the movement. The AI provides most the throttle control, with the player throttle control becoming a modifier, allowing some influence over the speed of the jet.
In both Easy and Simplified mode, the AI will open and close the refuelling door, plus make a “ready for gas” radio call when stabilised behind the tanker. Once the jet is refuelled, the AI will make the “Done refuelling” radio call.
In Realistic mode, the player has full control over the jet in all respects. He must open and close the refuelling door manually, fly the jet into position, make a “ready for gas” radio call, fly the aircraft to the boom and once refuelled, make a “Done refuelling” radio call. Then fly into the waiting position until all jets in the flight have been serviced.
In all modes, once the refuelling door is opened, the flight control computer dampens the control surfaces. This permits the pilot to make small control movements with ease.
Major changes have occurred to the AI for the tanker and thirsty aircraft to eliminate completely the rapid jitter that occurs in FalconAF when refuelling takes place. The AI is now able to refuel during a tanker turn, and the tanker turns are now distributed in multiplayer so that the turn is consistent between clients.
The tanker no longer struggles to maintain a constant speed or altitude during refuelling. After refuelling, the thirsty aircraft reduces speed and decreases altitude slightly before sliding across to the waiting position. Meanwhile, the tanker will increase its speed by a few kts only during decoupling before settling back to the previous refuelling speed. The tanker altitude will not vary between refuelling aircraft from the same flight.
Tanker boom should now visibly connect in MP.

3D modeller TNO Soesterberg
Nogmaals een oproep voor het gevuld krijgen van een vacature. We zijn opzoek naar iemand die van 3D modellen maken houdt. Dit bijvoorbeeld al doet in Falcon 4. Die theaters maakt en programma's kan schrijven in C++. Kijk hier eens. Misschien is het wat voor je.

Weapon Delivery Planner
Falcas heeft een nieuwe versie uitgebracht van zijn Weapon Delivery Planner.

Just got back home and had a look. Someware during an update of the webpage the old file got back on the download. This explanes the date.
Got it fixed now. the version that can be downloaded is WDP1.1a.zip
Did a test and this one is working. The popup.txt and HADB.txt is only being made when you have started the program.

FalconLobby v1
 FalconLobby is an authorized AddOn for Falcon 4.0 Allied Force created to support the multiplayer experience. FalconLobby retrieves the list of currently active game servers and imports that list into the Falcon "phone book" (the list of game servers shown on the MultiPlayer/Internet screen). This avoids the need to "fat finger" in the IP addresses of the servers and provides a quick way to see what online games are currently available. The list of active game servers is populated from machines running game servers and FalconLobby.

Door de drukte en het nieuwe F1 seizoen, loop ik wat achter met het nieuws. Sorry.
Het eerste wat ik je wil laten zien is een (oud) nieuwtje van Lead Pursuit (met een U ipv E ). De "high precision update" voor Falcon 4 Allied Force.
Bekijk dit filmpje maar eens. De streepjes op de banden zijn voor test doeleinden.

 Falcon4.us is weer online.
Het is een IRC kanaal waar Falcon 4 vliegers elkaar treffen in een soort chat room.
Voor wie IRC niet kent, het is vergelijkbaar met MSN.
Zeker de moeite waard om eens een kijkje te nemen. Gewoon inloggen met een nick die je wilt gebruiken, geen wachtwoord nodig, en je bent binnen.
Ideaal als je iemand zoekt voor een online flight en je geen gebruik wilt maken van het forum van MultiViper.com. Let er wel op dat je eenzelfde versie van Falcon vliegt als je medespeler(s), anders gaat het niet lukken.
