Best wishes for 2006

2005 is nearing it's end. Yet another year has passed by.
A year which has brought the Falcon community a new future in the form of Falcon 4.0: Allied Force by Lead Persuit. Some say it's good, some don't.
Proof is that it has brought new Falcon pilots into the community and made "the dance" something of the old day's.
Although some say it doesn't have the "high" standard previous versions had in different aspects, Allied Force has brought back easy and solid multi play stability. And it's never a bad idea to give a good initiative some time to proof itself. We, or should i say "they", can do a lot to improve Falcon 4.0 and bring the hardcore military flightsim back into the present "gaming" standard.
But lets not forget Free Falcon and BMS. They are still out there giving joy and their commitment to the same Falcon 4.0 and it's community.
But also Open Falcon, Fighter OPS and the Phoenix project have the future. Even Lock On is prepping the F-16 to go full blow in their sim.
So I think we as virtual fighter pilots, have some good years ahead of us.

Angola theater

Er is weer een update van het Angola theater.

Last post for this year. Quite a year it has been with many highs and lows. RL has got in the way more than any of us would've liked, interfering with Falcon Time, and extending lead times.

The Gripen and Hawk Lift are nearly out of the paint shop, and will be displayed in the new year.

MD has completed most of the features, building landmarks such as Hotel Charles, and a whole load of Himba Huts, as well as MD's favorites, every Cuca shop in Angola. (Cuca = Angolan Beer). He seems to have visited most of them.

Sokcho - Hoengsong

As for Sokcho, the Tacan and ILS are U.S - that's probably because these two airbases have been updated from airstrips to airbases status in the SP days but somehow, with the latest version of F4, the nav stuff has been dropped for the airstrips.

Hoengsong is a short field, so use short field landing techniques and beware of the terrain, according to the version of F4 you fly, it might be very high.

F4 AF patch 1.04

Voor wie het gemist heeft.
Lead Persuit heeft de 1.04 patch uitgebracht voor Falcon 4.0: Allied Force.
Berichten nu zijn dat men voorlopig niet de "Autoupdater" moet gebruiken. Hier schijnt nog een fout in te zitten.
Men kan beter de patch (exe) downloaden en installeren.

Lead Pursuit LLC is proud to announce the release of patch 1.04 for Falcon 4: Allied Force.

You can get the patch by using the Autoupdater in 'Falcon 4.0 Allied Force Update Check' utility, found under "Start menu/Programs/Battlefiled Operations", to bring your existing local installation to version 1.04.

The Patch is a cumulative patch so it will update any previous version to the latest 1.04.

You can also get the patch by downloading the installer from our web site at http://www.lead-pursuit.com/downloads.htm.

As this patch is 24Mb it may take a while to download, so please be patient with the updater utility.

Addendum: If you have Hitiles installed please run the HiTilesAF_AlliedForce.exe and restore the original terrain before applying.
