Benchmark Sims heeft versie 1.02 uitgebracht.
Het gaat wel heel erg snel nu. Gisteren nog 1.01, nu heeft Benchmark Sims al weer 1.02 uitgebracht.

- Whacked Graphics sliders when clearing log book or creating a new pilot.
- CTD when clicking on ACMI with Z-Buffering disabled.
- BMS Config Editor issues with Jetnet settings.
No upgrade from 1.01 available, needs a full install.
You should not have to do the dance if you already have 1.01 installed.
There is no upgrade patch from 1.01 to 1.02 available for download, only a full 1.02 installer.
As stated above, if you already have 1.01 installed, you should be able to simply install 1.02 over it, without having to reinstall falcon. Just delete your falconbms.cfg before installing 1.02.

De nieuwste versie van BMS is uit.

This release features many new bug fixes and enhancements.
Make sure you read the installation instructions in the Install.txt!!!
Falconsp.cfg is no longer used by BMS. Instead, configs are saved in the falconbms.cfg file.
After you install, there should be 3 shortcuts on your desktop: The BMS executable, the BMS Manual, and the BMS configuration editor.
The manual has been completely redone now, and is definitely worth reading.

Cougar file
Op de valreep van 2003 heeft Ripley zijn HOTAS Cougar stickfile verder verfijnd.
New since 1.10:
· Added function to toggle between HUD-only view and 2D-cockpit by activating T5 in 2D-cockpit or HUD-only view;
· Changed function of the throttle so low afterburner settings can be selected;
· Decreased timeouts for buttons with different functions for short and long activation to 300 msec;
· Switched the functions of T2 and T3 for shifted and unshifted operation. Comms are now unshifted, while the glance functions require holding S3 (this will take some getting used to!);
· Added a function to select the desired axis curves of the joystick axes to the RNG knob, while holding S3;
· Added a function to enable mouse panning in the 3D cockpit by clicking T1 while in the 3D cockpit;
· Moved the left mouse button to S1 (MSL Step) and the right mouse button to the trigger (first detent);
· Removed special function to reset HOTAS, since it appeared unnecessary;
· Rewrote lots of code to reduce number of flags used;
· Removed 'F4SP3 Ripley Calibration.tmj' from the distribution package, as its function can more easily be fulfilled by 'Foxy's Joystick Analyser';
· Updated the manual

Stopworks:
The 1600 x 1200 Block 40 cockpit is available. This cockpit is the first of its kind in Falcon 4.0, representing the older Block 40 with a wide raster HUD to display FLIR imagery--perfect for use of the LANTIRN's terrain following radar system or for slewing a target cursor on the fly.
It offers all of the functionality and detail that marks its Stopworks predecessor, the Block 52, this time with a widened infra-red picture that allows a pilot to peer into the night.

RealSimulator Entry Level Cockpit
De "Entry Level" cockpit van RealSimulator is bijna klaar. Een veelbelovende pit.

We are now so busy, with the test for this beta unit, we will like have finish as soon as possible, to mount all the electronic in the frontal and middle panels.
The ICP is also in manufacturing status for the first 20 units.

It is NOT specular lighting, does not use pixel shaders, and, more importantly, does NOT require a hardware upgrade, and causes no performance hit. What it is, is vertex lighting, using a simple algorithm to produce, in the above cases, a spotlight/shade effect.

BMS 0.99
De nieuwe versie van BMS is uit.
Ik upload dit nieuws vanuit Denemarken waar we op onze jaarlijkse 87th meet de BMS 099 vliegen met wat extra toeters en bellen.
Ik kan zeggen dat het goed vliegt. Netwerk stabiliteit is goed, alhoewel SP3 missies hier en daar wat vreemde zaken laten zien in BMS 099.
Er waren ook wat zaken betreffende 1024/768 pits en logboek entries.
