Falcon 4.0 Allied Force heeft behoorlijk wat beroering gebracht binnen de community.
Oude verhalen en oud zeer worden weer opgehaald. De forums staan weer vol met strijdvolle betogen.
Met andere woorden, ga er maar voor zitten de komende weken/maanden. Falcon 4.0 Allied Force komt er aan. Echt.
Gisteren laat is de officiele F4-AF site online gekomen.

Lead Pursuit LLC is delighted to announce it is in partnership with Graphsim Entertainment Inc. to exclusively develop a series of military simulations for the home personal computer.
“Falcon 4.0: Allied Force”
will be the first simulation of the Battlefield Operations series by Lead Pursuit. It is scheduled for release in Summer 2005 and will help redefine the market for the combat flight simulation enthusiast.
“Allied Force” is an evolution of the legendary Falcon 4.0 simulation, heavily modified for today’s discerning player. There will be major advancements in all areas including Artificial Intelligence, Multiplayer, Modelling, Art and Terrain.
The Graphics Engine has been heavily revised to include features such as volumetric clouds and advanced lighting effects.
A brand new Theater of Operations has been created: the Balkans. It will complement the Korean Theater which itself has been revised. These will offer 18 new and challenging campaigns taking advantage of all the improvements to Falcon’s “living battlefield”.
Over the coming weeks, Lead Pursuit will be presenting screenshots, features and videos to demonstrate “Falcon 4.0: Allied Force” and its continued emphasis on realism, detail, action and, above all, enjoyment for the player.
De voortekenen zijn goed, veel nieuwe ontwikkelingen, toegangkelijker voor de "beginner", en weer een officiele game.
Ook is er veel aandacht geschonken aan de OCA missies, getuige de uitvoerige beschrijving over de veranderingen die gadaan zijn aan de code om dit ook voor de AI, de computerpiloot, tot een goed einde te laten brengen.
Enkele opvallende zaken:
It means that for Falcon 4.0: Allied Force, the AI intelligently uses spacing to deliver their payloads onto the runway and the AI attacks other targets, where necessary, according to military priority.
In addition, different elements within a flight will now target different runways during the same pass .....
New flight commands are included to further refine the targeting process ............. This lists all the available targets at the site.
For other features such as buildings, each AI pilot will target two buildings within the airbase, and in one pass will attempt to destroy both targets.
So now during OCA strikes, you can expect to see attacks by aircraft from all angles!
Impressive.

En niet zomaar een nieuwe Falcon 4.0. Binnen nu en 3 weken te koop.
Er is nog niks met zekerheid te zeggen daar er nog geen officieël statement uit is gekomen, maar het ziet er zeker positief uit.

Oneclick theater installer
Ik heb er veel vragen over gehad via de mail. “Hoe en welke theaters kan ik installeren”, “ik krijg mijn theater niet aan de gang”, “Is er een werkende Europe theater die ook ik kan installeren”, en zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan.

FreeFalcon is al een tijdje bezig om de verschillende addons die Falcon 4 rijk is op een makkelijke manier toegangelijk te maken voor de community.
Hun laatste "effort" stond bij velen hoog op het verlanglijstje.
Men kan nu met één installer het betreffende theater installeren, en even zo makkelijk weer deinstalleren.
Helaas is dit alleen voor de FreeFalcon v3 van toepassing en niet voor de SuperPAK serie.
De release op Falcon5.nl heeft even op zich laten wachten daar er foutmeldingen kwamen van gebruikers. Dit heb ik 2 dagen aangekeken, maar nu hebben de positieve reacties de overhand.

FreeFalcon is making available to the FF Falcon 4 community 5 theater installers which are FreeFalcon 3 compatible. FreeFalcon team can only take credit for the installers. The credit for the theaters go to the various teams that build the original theaters.
These are "one-click" installers which do not require supporting utilities, like Bird's All-in-One Theater patch. They can easily be uninstalled by running the installer again.
Each theater will add 1+ GB to your FF3 installation. (standard theater about 0.7 GB, large theater about 1.8 GB)
I have included JimG's campaigns for the Balkan, Europe and Desert Storm theaters. I included Saul's campaigns and I- Hawk's campaign fix and the UI background created by an unkown artist. Otherwise, the theaters have not been improved or fixed. The Desert Storm folder structure has been changed to match the structures of the other theaters.
Each theater has its own Objects folder and files. It is included in the installation so that the user can customize the aircraft models and skins for each theater without effecting the models and skins in the default Korea theater.
We have not fixed the bugs that are in the original theaters. We will leave that task to those people who wish to improve these theaters. We want only to provide a more user-friendly installation process which will permit more users the opportunity to enjoy these theaters.

 Zo af en toe krijg ik het voorstel om wat zaken uit te proberen.
Soms nieuws oftware, patches, etc, maar ook wel eens nieuwe hardware.
Zo kreeg ik ook de nieuwe headset van eDimensional, en mijn eerste bevindinegn waren niet echt lovend.
maar aangezien er ook andere, positieve, geluiden te lezenwaren, heb ik Donky gevraagd de nieuwe hardware eens aan zijn simmersleven bloot te stellen.

Oneclick theater installer
Free Falcon heeft enkele oneclick theaters uitgebracht. En ik had gisteren alles klaar staan voor release toen er enkele problemen boven tafel kwamen.
Ondanks dat deze “oneclickers” een grote stap voorwaarts zijn in het gemak waarmee addontheaters straks toegevoegd en weer even makkelijk verwijderd kunnen worden, zou ik iedereen willen adviseren even te wachten met het gebruik er van tot dat er een antwoord of oplossing is gegeven voor de huidige problemen.

I made a few changes to some of the F-14 pit files from the previous version...
This should fix some errors that some SP4/SP3 BMS users may have had... Such as Seeing only the needles and gauges .. but no Graphics to match the pit..
If you do get the above mentioned trouble... I recommend Switching Theatres .. then switch back.
Please report your bugs here if any occur.

SP4.2 oneclick installer
Ktel heeft een one-click installer gemaakt op basis van de SuperPAK 4.2 patch.
Ktel hierover:
This patch will install Sp4.2 onto a Falcon4 CD installation. Theres no need to install
the 108US or any other SP patch.
IMPORTANT: The MP5-1.exe has been added as an option in the Multiplayer section of the
SP Config Editor. Once the MP5-1.exe is selected the exe is able to be patched with the
fixes produced by Reaps185.

FS weekend 2005
Komend weekend, 16 en 17 April, is er weer een "FS weekend" in het Aviodrome te Lelystad.
Een evenement voor jong en oud die alles willen weten en vooral ook zien en horen, betreffende flightsimulators.
Dit jaars thema "designers and wokshops" belooft veel goeds. De interactie met het publiek is het hoogste streven van de organisatie van het FS weekend, en de voornaamste reden van de vele deelnemers om al hun spullen weer af te breken, te transporteren om ze vervolgens weer op te bouwen. Dit alles om hun hobby te laten zien aan het publiek en de vele vormen van belangselling zo goed mogelijk te kunnen beantwoorden.
De organisatie heeft het dit jaar extra aantrekkelijk gemaakt door een kortingsbon uit te geven. Print deze uit, vul hem in en krijg € 2.50 korting op de entree.
De Campground Crew zal deze keer geen grote Falcon 4.0 show geven in de filmzaal van het Aviodrome. Deze keer staan we tussen de mensen, de bezoekers, de geinteresseerde flightsimmers die alles willen weten over Falcon 4.0. Hoe zet ik een multiplay sessie op, wat zijn de beste patchstandaarden die ik kan gebruiken, welke addons zijn er te krijgen? En natuurlijk onze eigen bouwsels van cockpits, MFD's, ICP's, gemodde sticks, enz.
Dus zeker de moeite waard om langs te komen. Want een multiplay sessie meemaken, of zelf een rondje vliegen bij ons, is de gewoonste zaak van de wereld.
Het programmaboekje laat zien wie er allemaal komen en waar deze te vinden zijn.
